Faaborg Fjordhave is a community of local sea farmers focused on cultivating mussels and seaweed, through sustainable practices. With the mission to create a “garden in the sea.”

 

At the heart of Faaborg Fjordhave is a strong sense of community. Families of all ages come together to harvest and share meals, creating a space for connection and learning about sustainable practices.

 

As part of this initiative, I was tasked with developing a visual identity for Faaborg Fjordhave that would capture their essence. The goal was to create a visual presence that not only reflects their produce and social connection but also resonates with their diverse audience.

Flexible and Future-Ready Branding

The challenge was to create an identity that felt timeless and adaptable, while capturing the essence of both sea cultivation and community. The solution was a graphic interpretation of the mussels and seaweed they produce, inspired by stencil design commonly found in harbour settings.

 

The logo was designed to fit within the local context, drawing subtle inspiration from the area’s design language while maintaining a unique identity. With scalability in mind, it works effortlessly across print, video, and merchandise, ensuring flexibility as the organization grows.

 

The color palette reflects the vibrant hues of the town and the natural elements, grounding the identity in its unique location while creating a cohesive and visually dynamic brand.
